Obituary of Billy Webb
Billy White Webb (age 81) entered into the arms of the Lord in Mt. Vernon surrounded by his family on May 14, 2018. Billy was born on April 9, 1937 in Fairfield, Texas to Clyde and Ione Ruth (White) Webb. He attended and graduated from Navasota High in Navasota, Texas in 1955. After high school, Billy continued his education at the University Of Houston College Of Pharmacy, graduating in 1962. Billy worked as a Reg. Pharmacist for 46 years eventually retiring in 2008. In his down time from work, he loved art, photography, sports and outdoor activities of any kind. Billy will always be remembered for his upbeat, positive attitude and having an innate positive spirit that never faltered. “OH, THAT SMILE”
During his working career, Billy was a highly respected pharmacist by not only his peers but his customers. He will best be remembered by his family for being a loving husband and father. In many ways, he was a “superman” in their eyes. At the end, Billy was very stoic, never complaining about his condition or treatments.
Billy is survived by his wife, Barbara (Drewett) whom he married in Navasota, Texas on June 2, 1956; daughters, Cheryl Lynn (James W. Jr.) Houston of Livingston, TX, Diane (John) Webb-Cristelli of Kirkland, WA; brothers, George Webb of McKinney, TX, Max Webb of Bulverde, TX and Solon Webb of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Melissa Lynn Houston; brother, Dr. John C. Webb; sisters, Martha Webb Holleman, Wanda Arnold and Betty Webb Joinville. An Open House for Billy will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2-4:00 p.m. at 3908 Dogwood Place, Mt. Vernon, WA.
